Silica Sand

Silica sand, also known as quartz sand, white sand, or industrial sand, is made up of two main elements: silica and oxygen.

Washed silica sand with Fe content >0.01% is extensively used for glass manufacturing such as bottles, plate glass, window glass, amber and green glass, and coloured wares. The hardness, high density, and high chemical resistance offered by silica sand are likely to contribute to the higher demand of this segment.

 The zircon sands are washed to ensure a clean product free of dirt, dust, and ultrafines, and are then calcined to reduce water and other volatile content.
